Aguas Industriales de Tarragona S.A. (AITASA) is a company founded in 1965 to supply water to industries, mainly chemicals that were then beginning to be established in the Tarragona industrial area. AITASA has an infrastructure that has become strategic to support the Public Administrations of the territory in times of crisis (the salinization of the decade of the 1970-80s, or the drought of 2007-08). Over the years AITASA has taken advantage of its talent and service structure, and has developed various auxiliary projects to industries, such as the construction and management of the Dixquímics Rack. It is currently managing technical projects with added value, such as the reuse of treated water for industrial uses, which is developed together whit the Catalan Water Agency (ACA).
