The Interreg SUBTRACT project, of which ARC is one of the 7 partners, aims to increase the economic sustainability and competitiveness of reuse centres by providing eco-innovative solutions that make them more functional, attractive and economically and environmentally sustainable, now that they can offer stable workplaces, with those in the labour market in mind.
The Interregional seminar is one of the main ways in which the SUBTRACT project aims to maximise the success of the project and brings together project partners to discuss the development of the project, to share and teach the bones of reuse centres from each region and to encourage learning through the exchange of experiences between partners.

The goal of The Guide is to outline recommendations and resources for integrating the prevention and reduction of food waste into organizations’ environmental management systems (EMS). It aims to provide a tool that allows organizations to interpret and apply the requirements of these management guidelines, always with the perspective of achieving better use of food resources and of reducing losses and waste. What’s more, incorporating waste prevention and food waste and loss management into EMS allows for the fulfillment of the obligations established in the Law 3/2020 of 11 March, of prevention of food waste and loss for agents of the food chain.
VirtualRevolta is a sustainable proposal to convert kitchen waste into ecological compost, in a communal and participatory way.
The project aims to involve citizens in decentralized waste management, influencing the modification of consumption habits, respect for the environment and the promotion of quality organic farming.
It proposes to recover the city-agriculture relationship, providing local farmers with the compost that is generated from the organic waste of the citizens. To do so, it incorporates the novelty of an electromagnetic precomposer, located at strategic points in the city, which sanitizes the waste by reducing its volume and stabilizing it. With this system, the waste becomes storable and bad odors and risks of infection are avoided, while saving in transport and making use of ecological compost.
