Solidança is a non-profit organization that has been providing services relating to the integrated management of waste and the circular economy since 1997, working with excluded groups.
We collaborate with the Viladecans local council, managing the municipal recycling center, and offering services: Els Encants shop; Organisation of the Environment Feast; Organisation of environmental awareness activities and regular advice on waste prevention within the enclosure, but also the mobile service of advice for repairing bicycle and electrical/electronic equipment: Reparatruck.
The Encants Viladecans is a second-hand shop located within the Viladecans Repara project, in the municipal recycling centre. It is managed by the local council in collaboration with Solidança foundation, which has inserted labor. Products are sold at reduced prices to give them a second life, reducing waste generation. Project Viladecans Repara includes specialist technicians who advise anyone who wants to repair their objects. In addition, they also organize awareness-raising activities for citizens, encouraging repair and reuse.
The Port of Barcelona is fully committed to the objectives set by the European Green Deal, promoted by the EU, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This commitment has been specified in the IV Strategic Plan of the Port of Barcelona, which has set a milestone to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by port activity by 50% in 2030 and by 100% in 2050.
The main projects we are currently working on to achieve this decarbonisation objective are the energy transition and the electrification of the docks.
"Millor que nou" (Better than new), is a free support and advice service for citizens so that they can repair some devices and objects themselves. The project is part of the global strategy of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) to promote the repair of objects and exchange markets as mechanisms to avoid the generation of waste.
The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona is a public company that is financed entirely by its own funds, such as the industrial leases of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Industrial Park and its asset management.
We are developing the EcoCircularZF project since 2018 to stimulate and generate links between companies in the industrial estate. Thanks to this symbiosis, we ensure that they are more efficient in the management of resources and waste derived from their activities.
The Catalan By-products Exchange www.residurecurs.cat is a digital platform for the exchange of surplus resources from all companies operating in the Catalan industrial ecosystem. A free and public service.
It is a simple and tangible solution to encourage collaboration and the creation of synergies between companies, promoted by the Consell General de Cambres and the Agencia de Residus.
The "Porta a Residurecurs" project aims to link all local initiatives to the By-Product Exchange, creating a single database of regional announcements.
INCASÒL has been a partner of the Sustainable Use of Land and Nature Based Solutions Partnership of the Urban Agenda for the EU. As a coordinator of one of its actions we had decided to merge it with a silimar action from the Circular Economy Partnership. Together we have been working to remove the barriers and create innovative solutions for cities, regions and nations moving into a more circular economy, and basically founding solutions for a Circular Re-Use of Land and Spaces, elaborating a handbook.
