AEI Tèxtils, the Catalan cluster of advanced textile materials, is working with its industrial members towards an environmentally friendlier sector that increases the competitiveness of its companies.
The thread of our jumpers is 100% recycled through a process that does not generate waste at all. We also design our jumpers so that they never become a waste, because they are 100% recyclable.
Each IAIOS is special because we create it calmly in small local workshops within Barcelona’s area. We want this sweater to last many years, because every jumper has a story to tell.
The company is specialized in textile recycling, Pre- or Post-Consumer material, to produce the suitable shoddy to be used in several sector as Spinning, Automotive or Geotextile. Our aim is to valorize the textile waste being able through our knowledge and technologies to provide it a second life.
We face the textile industry negative impacts introducing the Circular Economy in Work wear production: eco-friendly materials, manufacturated with social impact (local social workshops) and zero waste thanks to being eco-design and collection service after their useful life.
With innovation at our core, we have helped divert more than 20 tonnes of post-consumer denim from landfills and incinerators. Through upcycling, industrial recycling and our circular business model, we promote the recovery of the real value of textiles and challenge the notion that something is not "waste" until we decide it is.
TEXFOR is the Spanish entity with the highest representation in the sector: we are the voice of nearly 4,000 companies, the vast majority SMEs, which employ more than 45,000 workers and generate annual wealth of more than € 5,000 million.
The circular economy is one of our priorities because it is a tool for efficiency, competitiveness and giving market value to our textile manufacturers.
