Visit | LC PAPER, Tissue and kraft paper manufacturer that uses zero-emissions production processes

LC Paper is a tissue and kraft paper manufacturer which uses zero-emissions production processes. The company produces both parent paper reels for other industries as well as finished goods for institutional and retail channels, using 100% renewable energy (solar, biomass…), plastic-free packaging and unbleached fibers. Those initiatives allowed the company to be the first in its sector in obtaining the B Corp certification. The company is a family business currently on its 5th generation. It was founded in 1881, 140 years ago.

Visit | HINOJOSA GROUP, SARRIÀ HINOJOSA PAPER, production of paper that comes from 100% recycled material

At Hinojosa Paper Sarrià, we make 100% recycled paper with FSC sustainability certificate. The plant belongs to Hinojosa, leader of the packaging sector in the Iberian Peninsula. The company has experienced a significant growth in the last years. Currently owns twenty manufacturing plants in Spain, Portugal and France.
Hinojosa's business model is based on the circular economy, promoting the reuse of resources, the minimization of waste and efficiency in the processes. In this line, we have installed a biogas plant and a biomass plant in Sarrià de Ter, with which 100% of the steam used for drying the paper will be generated from clean energy.

Visit | SANT PAU UNESCO World Heritage Site, Energy-efficient building complex.

A beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site was restored to become a cultural venue. Many of the Art Nouveau pavilions have LEED green building certification, in recognition of circular economy criteria applied in the restoration process. Buildings are surrounded by patios and gardens filled with native, aromatic plants, and the site's geo-thermal energy system is one of the largest in Europe. Visits to the site touch on all these aspects.
