INNOVI, wine innovation cluster of Catalonia

INNOVI mission is to promote competitiveness of the companies throughout the value chain of the wine sector, by focusing on innovation and collaboration. Current 80 members belong to different stakeholders’ group: grape growers, cellars, service and industry providers, knowledge centres (universities, research and tech centres) and administrations.
The four focus areas are: sustainability (climate change, circular economy and biodiversity), Industry 4.0, new products and services and shared value.

Centre Tecnològic BETA, working for the sustainable development of the society through research & innovation

The main mission of the BETA Technological Centre at the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) is to be a relevant actor for the technological development, the improvement of the competitiveness and the quality of life of rural societies for a sustainable future.
BETA works to find solutions for environmental problems that involve the integration of the treatment of gaseous effluents, wastewater and municipal and industrial organic solid waste, with a special focus on the agri-food sector and the bioeconomy.

MINISTRY OF CLIMATE ACTION, FOOD AND RURAL AGENDA, 2021-2030 Catalan Bioeconomy Strategy

On Septembre 14, the catalan Government approved the 2021-2030 Catalan Bioeconomy Strategy. The Ministry of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda was assigned the task of drafting the document in collaboration with the other implicated departments of the Catalan government. This Strategy follows the guidelines of the European Strategy,and its goal is to promote the sustainable growth and development of the Catalan economy by fostering the production of biological resources and local and renewable processes.
